Second and Ten Demo Roogames' conversion of Wayne Poniewaz's American Football Simulation 'First and Ten' The demo season is a 4 team league consisting of the best teams from each decade never to win the Superbowl. They are: 1968 Baltimore Colts The Colts were 13-1, in 1968, cruising through the playoffs and entering Superbowl III as overwhelming favourites as they faced the New York Jets. But the Jets caused a huge upset taking the championship 16-7.
1973 L.A. Rams The Rams were 12-2 and made this season on pts difference. They went out in the divisional playoffs to the 10-4 Cowboys.
1983 Washington Redskins The Redskins were looking to repeat the success in Superbowl XVII, posted a 14-2 regular season record, slaughtered the Rams in the divisional championship and sneaked past the 49ers to reach their second successive Superbowl. But they were comprehensively beaten by the Oakland Raiders 36-9.
1998 Minnesota Vikings The Vikings went 15-1, scoring over 550 points in the process. But a heartbreaking overtime loss to the Atlanta Falcons in the NFC championship game cost them a shot at the Superbowl.
